O Papai Noel dos Correios é uma campanha que se iniciou a pouco mais de 30 anos, surgindo da comoção dos funcionários pelas cartas que recebiam de diferentes crianças. A ação ganhou tanta repercussão que, desde 2010, os alunos de escolas públicas são incentivados a participarem e enviarem suas cartas de natal.
Além dos presentes que as crianças podem vir a receber, o objetivo é incentivar o gosto pelo aprendizado da escrita de cartas pelas crianças e, também, estimular o desenvolvimento de habilidades cognitivas e emocionais dos pequenos aos expressarem seus desejos nas palavras.
Para a ajuda com os presentes, os Correios contam com a ajuda de milhares de padrinhos e madrinhas dispostos a fazer a magia do Natal acontecer. Qualquer pessoa pode participar da campanha e fazer a alegria de uma criança.
